Chef Joseph Braoudakis Jr. is a culinary student at Schenectady County Community College, full time chef at Roux in Slingerlands, New York and a father of two little girls; ages seven & four.

At Roux, Chef Braoudakis enjoys working with products that are fresh and locally grown. He sees cooking as a way to express his passion in every day life. Chef Braoudakis is a perfectionist when it comes to plating and sending food out from the kitchen.

Chef Mike Mastrantouno, former chef at Roux (currently at 15 Church), was a great inspiration to Chef Braoudakis, laddling out many hints & tips which helped mold him into the Chef he has become.

Chef Braoudakis is greatly appreciative of the opportunities he’s received and that continue to come his way; a sentiment that is evident in his work ethic and dedication to the craft. “Cooking is my passion and I simply enjoy what I do.”

Chef Braoudakis wishes to extend his deep gratitude for the guidance he received under the mentorship of Chef Mastrantouno. “I am forever grateful.”
