Changemaker Awards
The Miss Hattie’s Changemaker Awards honor individuals whose leadership, dedication, and advocacy are making a profound and lasting impact on arts and culture in the Capital Region.
Each year, Albany Wine and Dine for the Arts recognizes these outstanding contributors during the festival, celebrating their work in driving positive change and uplifting our creative community.
Three special honors are presented annually:
The Robert J. McNamara Spirit of the Industry Award: Pays tribute to Festival founding member Robert J. McNamara and recognizes a person who exemplifies professionalism in the restaurant industry and a strong commitment to community.
The Karen Smith-Sfara Ovation Award: Created in memory of founding member Karen Smith-Sfara, this award is given to an individual who has made significant contributions to the arts in Albany.
The Honorable Gerald D. Jennings Backstage Award: Honors those who support the missions of local arts organizations.
